Hockey Holidays Exchange Letter

First of all, I apologize that this is a little late. Hope it wasn't too stressful and that there was enough details in my signup to help you start thinking. Thank you so much for singing up for one of my pairings! I'm so excited to see what you write, and I'm certain I will love whatever you come up with.
First, some general information about my likes and dislikes. I like slow build, banter. I like characters who like each other. Teasing, humour, fluff, smut. I like slice of life fic, character studies, bed sharing, trapped in confined spaces--basically, any romantic cliche you can come up with. I love tropes and trope subversion. Marriage of convenience, pining, soulmates, D/s. I love phone sex and sexting.
As for dislikes, there's not a lot I outright don't like. Please don't make me super sad. I'm okay with some angst, but happy endings, please! I don't like infidelity, watersports, or character death. I'm pretty much up for anything else! I love all the characters I've requested, and I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I'm happy with AU or canon fic for all pairings. All the pining is amazing. I love any an all AUs. I love them trying to figure out their relationship in the NHL (long distance for Mitch and Dylan), I love them being dumb about their feelings and figuring out how they feel about each other.
As I said above, you really can't go wrong with tropes. I love me a good tropey fic. I am also here for trope inversion, so anything you want to take and spin around on its head, I am also 100% here for that. I am a fan of soulmates as I said above (it's a particular fav), but if you just want to write a good old fashion canon fic, I am here for dumb hockey boys being dumb hockey boys in love.
Pairing specific thoughts:
Mitch Marner/Dylan Strome
I love these two so much. Real life enemies to friends (to lovers)!!! Whether you want to go au or deal with something in canon, I will be thrilled.
If you want to go the au route: the two of them in university. Or soulmates! Love me a good soulmate au.
If you want to stick to real life, I'd love something that deals with the two of them in the present or in the future. I think a lot has already been written about their OHL careers, so if you wanted to explore a long distance relationship, or how they deal with Dylan being in the AHL and Mitch being in the NHL I'd be super super into that. Or something down the line. A break up/make up scenario or a continued hook up that turns more serious under the right circumstances.
My only ask is: please no sadness porn about Dylan. I know he's been through a lot of disappointments, but I think he's on the upswing and I'd rather read more of that than wallowing on the things that didn't happen. Not to say you can't have angst or not mention it! Just don't have it as the main focus, would be my ask.
I love Mitch and Dylan so much, they are a particular OTP of mine. I will be very very thrilled with any fic for them, so if none of my ideas strike your fancy, please don't feel constrained to just that (that goes for all pairings!)
I'd love to see the two of them working out their relationship either in the present or the future. How do they work the long distance? Or if they can't figure out long distance as young idiots, how do they make it work down the line? As I said above, my only real ask is not to wallow in angst for Dylan. Not to say there can't be any angst!! These two are ripe for pining fic, but I would just rather not see him presented as some kind of tragic figure, when I personally feel like he's doing really well and will continue to do so!

These two are too much, and there isn't enough fic about them by far.
Pretty much anything you want to do with them I'll be over the moon. The aftermath of the Valentine's video? The game show thing the Avs just did with EJ? Coffeeshop au? Suddenly realise they're soulmates? (I love soulmates). Go wild.
I'll be honest, I'm really only starting to get into these two, so really anything you write will be wonderful. Plus, there really isn't enough fic of them so you'll not only be giving me a present but you'll be doing the world a favour.
I'd love to see something from Gabe's POV, if that floats your boat. And pining! these two are perfect for pining.

REUNION FIC. Were they together on the penguins and then had to break up because of long distance? Did they never get together but something was always there? did they only realise their feelings after the trade and pine endlessly? I MUST KNOW.
I MUST KNOW!!! Oooh, or maybe some kind of epistolary fic? I'd be a fan. If that's not your jam, any kind of au that deals with the two of them being dumb and in love will just be wonderful. Remember that time they went to Target or whatever and bought all those pillows. Delightful.
So yeah, those are just some ideas! Again sorry for posting this late, but please don't feel obligated to go with anything I've said here. If you have some idea that's really calling to you, follow your heart! I'm sure I will love it.
